Bio of the therapist

A licensed Clinical Psychologist accredited by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, with 7 years of professional experience in mental health and psychosocial support. She holds a Professional Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. She has extensive experience working with children, adults, pregnant women, survivors of violence, and individuals affected by war, displacement, and humanitarian emergencies.

She provides psychological assessment and therapy for a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns, with a particular focus on trauma-informed care and supporting individuals impacted by crises, conflict, and adverse life experiences. Her work aims to help clients build resilience, process difficult experiences, and improve their overall psychological well-being within a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.

Zahra holds a Professional Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Lebanese University, alongside a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. This multidisciplinary academic background enriches her clinical perspective and approach to mental health care.

Throughout her career, she has worked with leading local and international organizations, including Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Amel Association, and UNICEF in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Education. Her experience spans emergency mental health response, psychosocial support programs, school-based mental health services, maternal mental health support, and private clinical practice.

Her therapeutic training includes ongoing specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychoorganic Therapy, as well as specialized training in Drama Therapy and Art Therapy. She has also received advanced training in Psychological First Aid (PFA), mental health in emergency settings, suicide prevention, emotional intelligence, sexual violence response, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and intervention.

In addition to her clinical work, Zahra has been actively involved in educational and community initiatives, supporting individuals with learning difficulties and developmental challenges, participating in professional psychological associations, and contributing to mental health awareness and community resilience programs. She also participated in the 2025 international Drama Therapy conference, “Human and Nature in Dramatherapy,” held in Riga, Latvia.
