Bio of the therapist

A Clinical Psychologist with more than 13 years of experience in mental health and psychotherapy. She specializes in providing evidence-based psychological treatment for adolescents (aged 13 and above) and adults, having worked in specialized mental health centers and local and international organizations across Lebanon, the UAE, and Syria. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, empathy, and respect is the foundation of meaningful psychological healing.

She specializes in treating a broad range of mental health conditions, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, health anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, burnout, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and personality disorders, particularly Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). She also works extensively with emotional trauma, attachment difficulties, relationship challenges, couples therapy, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation, resilience building, and healthy personal boundaries.

Juhayna holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, a Diploma in Psychology, and a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from the Lebanese University. Her therapeutic practice integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma-Focused Therapy. She has also been engaged in ongoing clinical supervision since 2019 and has completed more than 500 hours of professional supervision.

She has extensive experience supporting women who have survived gender-based violence, survivors of abuse and domestic violence, individuals affected by war and displacement, families of detainees and forcibly disappeared persons, former detainees, and people experiencing unresolved grief and ambiguous loss. In addition, she has managed and supervised Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programs, designed evidence-based psychosocial interventions, and delivered professional training on Psychological First Aid (PFA), MHPSS, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Case Management, and protection of vulnerable populations.

Alongside her clinical work, Juhayna actively promotes mental health awareness through psychoeducational content, workshops, seminars, television and radio appearances, and community outreach initiatives, making psychological knowledge accessible to diverse audiences in an evidence-based and culturally sensitive way.
