Bio of the therapist

Aysha Alzboon is a licensed Psychologist accredited by the Jordanian Ministry of Health. She holds a PhD in Educational and Psychological Counseling from the University of Jordan and brings more than 11 years of professional experience in mental health and psychosocial support. Throughout her career, she has worked across academic, healthcare, and humanitarian settings, providing psychological counseling and therapy to diverse age groups and populations.

She specializes in the treatment of depression and mood disorders, anxiety and panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), psychological trauma, personality disorders, and marital, family, and relationship difficulties. She also has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, addressing behavioral and developmental disorders, learning difficulties, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and psychological challenges associated with chronic medical conditions.

Aysha utilizes a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of each client, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, Reality Therapy, Behavioral Therapy and Behavior Modification, Play Therapy for children, trauma-informed interventions, and Adlerian Therapy. She also has extensive experience in technical supervision, capacity building, and training mental health and psychosocial support professionals, contributing to the advancement of high-quality psychological services within communities.
